Faster routes with Google Directions API

The App runing on Android Automotive infotainment gets a list of customer orders and provides directions to the driver delivering their orders.

Version 0.2 - Written by Marc Farssac. Last Updated January 31st 2023. This article continues the (v0.1) earlier blog post.

Directions API let us search directions for several modes of transportation, including train, car, pedestrian and bycicle and from them take the fastest.

Version 0.2 follows this earlier post and goes uses an additional Google API to find the fastest route in a given point of time to the desired destination.

The UI then let the driver choose with minimal interaction and big selection buttons, which route wants to follow.
